Edit: This CnC is for the first piece.

I won't say anything about the text, but that it's miss-placed.

The render has lighting from itself. (the orange glow on the side). When a render has this sort of thing it means you have to create a light source that makes it look like that light is shining on the render from the correct angle. (This can be done by looking up a fractal or just the brush tool)

Try making a background out of the render for your next tag. Just copy paste the render on the background 'till it's filled up. Then use the smudge tool or Filter > Blur > Motion Blur to create the background.

As for the border, try to use a simple black border, it may sound too simple but looks good most of the times without too much effort.

To my surprise the colours work really well, the 2 fractals you placed behind the render give this static render some flow. Try playing around some more with the fractals, also placing some in front of the render etc.

alright thanks, heres some outcomes - 

The first one is the best, because the brightness of the render blends better than the second or third, where it's dark.

Oh, I really like your edited first one, the blurred background looks like he's walking away from a battlefield or a planet and brings out the firey-aura glow around him more.

Ah thanks! i also like the aura fractals around him, but they show more on the current one i have right now
